Sky back at mis-selling

Called Sky to see if there was any new deals to help reduce my bill. After a very long call the retention agent managed to find some offers across the different TV packages.   After confirming that my Netflix package would stay the same and would not change the agent confirm that it would not change although they don't offer the package I was on and they are called something different. I proceeded to take the new contract only to then find out my Nextflex had been downgraded from premium to standard and I now have the privilege of pay extra for the downgrade. I asked the agent multiple times if I would remain on the same Netflix package as I wasn't sure what it was called.
What can I do to reinstate my original package and cost. They have told me this was an old package and can't be reinstated. Now I will have to pay more to upgrade to what I originally had and my total monthly bill will be more than before I called, so it was pointless signing up to a new 24month contract.
Please advise what's the best way to deal with Sky.

Netflix Basic no longer exists because Netflix themselves ceased to offer it: the minimum is now Standard with Adverts.

Sky Entertainment no longer exists because Sky ceased to offer it: their minimum is Signature, but it's Ultimate TV which includes Netflix Standard with Adverts.

Re: Sky back at mis-selling

I originally had the premium package but they have downgraded me to standard without ads. Now they are say I will have to pay extra as I was on an old package but paying way less. I've asked them to listen to the call as I checked with the agent multiple times. What are my rights. Can I ask for my old offers or cancel within the 14 day calling off period?

Re: Sky back at mis-selling

I very much doubt you can revert to packages that no longer exist.

The good old days of deep discounts are gone and many customers have unrealistic expectations of what is now available, the old trick of putting in your notice and then getting great retention offers shortly after are gone too.

It's now becoming a case of like it or lump it.
