Sky VIP - mobile customer
Do Sky Mobile customers get a limited version of Sky VIP?
I was a Sky TV customer until last July and thought the VIP competitions and giveaways were great - in fact one of the reasons I joined Sky Mobile a couple of months ago was to get access to Sky VIP again, but I've been pretty underwhelmed by the offerings.
here has the 'Days Out' section gone? No more English Heritage or CADW tickets. Where are the concert tickets to events such as Forest Live? I get that offers change but there seems to be much less that's of interest to me.
The 'Competitions' and 'Shows and Attractions' sections seem really depleted compared the what they were like last year.
The sports section is packed though and there's quite a good range of cinema tickets (except my local cinemas seem to have been removed, and the nearest is now 35 miles away).
Has Sky cut back on VIP offerings, or do Sky Mobile customers not get access to the full range of competitions and offers?

Re: Sky VIP - mobile customer
Hi @Alpha+5
Let me clarify a few things
Sky VIP gets better the longer you are with Sky. The rewards are the same no matter what service(s) you have with Sky.
Your Sky VIP tier is based on how long you’ve continuously had either Sky TV, Sky Mobile, Sky Talk and/or Sky Broadband:
- Silver: 0 – 3 years
- Gold: 3 – 8 years
- Platinum: 8 – 15 years
- Diamond: 15+ years
And the rewards you’ll get depend on which tier you’re in and the Sky products and services you have. Rewards are cumulative so, if you’re a Diamond Sky VIP, you’ll get all the benefits of Silver, Gold and Platinum.
If you cancel all your Sky services but then come back to us later, the length of time you’ve been with us will reset to zero and restart from your new activation date. Your Sky VIP tier will also reset to Silver.
Meaning, if there was a time between cancelling tv and joining mobile where you had no Sky services your VIP level would reset to silver. This is why there aren't as many rewards available.
Just so you know - As a Sky VIP customer, go to VIP > Everyday Savings in the My Sky app to enjoy a variety of discounts and offers from eight different retail categories, carefully selected as a thank you for being with us.
I hope this helps but please let me know if you have any further questions on this?

Re: Sky VIP - mobile customer
Hi Pau4,
Thanks for your reply
In your first paragraph you state that rewards are the same no matter what products are taken but, underneath the list of tiers, you then say that rewards available do depend on which products/services are taken.
I'm assuming the latter is correct though. As an example, the Everyday Savings section that you mention is not available to me. It sounds like this is intentional for my tier/product though, rather than an error.
I recall when Sky VIP launched that the different tiers got different rewards, eg discounted broadband, additional cost.petition entries etc, but hadn't appreciated it went down to the level of individual competitions etc. However I noticed the other day that ther are more competitions eg concerts, available to enter since I posted, so perhaps it was just timing.
Not to worry though, I hadn't realised that there would be such a big difference being silver compared to when I was gold. That's on me, though there's very little up-to-date info to be found online regarding the benefits available to each tier.
Thanks again for taking to time to reply.
