Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
Can someone explain to me the added benefits that you get for being in a higher Sky VIP tier these days?
It seems that most of the benefits of being a loyal customer and achieving higher Tiers (free Sky Go Extra for example) have been removed from the rewards available and as far as I can see there is now, basically, no real difference between any of the reward tiers.
So much for 'rewarding' and valuing customer loyalty! Nice touch Sky!
When considered against the current backdrop of aggresive year-on-year price hikes, increased minimum contract terms, charges to remove adverts, new customers getting better deals than existing ones, the continued inability to tailor packages to suit your needs (particularlybeith sports programming) and the pervasive feeling of financial **bleep** that being a Sky customer brings with it, I really do question hiw much longer all of this is something wevare prepared to put up with.
You say you are a "customer focused business" but I can tell you that is NOT whatbit feeksclike to be a customer!
Come on Sky. Please do better!
BTW - this post seems to have morphed into a 'moan' but if someone could answer my initial question, I would be grateful. Thanks.

You are not contacting Sky here.
But to answer your question, look at the VIP section of the MySky app. Any specific offers for given tiers are there. Just looked at mine and apparently I can get broadband cheaper than the new customer price.

Re: Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
I believe the benefits will change over time, so sometimes you'll see some things and other times you won't.
The main benefit of being a higher tier is you have more chance to win on the competitions, give aways, cinema screenings etc.

Re: Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
Hi,
Thank you for responding.
The VIP section of in the app doesn't set out what is available to only because I am a Diamond Tier member; in fact it doesn't seem to contain any information at all as to what is specifically available to be me because of my particular Tier - just a selection of competitions, sports tickets, etc that I believe are available to everybody. (There is certainly no mention of the Broadband offers that you have, for example).
I am trying to understand what being a Sky "Diamond VIP" gets me over and above the lower tiers.
If your app does provide this, perhaps you could point me to where I should be looking?
Thanks.

Re: Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
I don't believe there are any specific tier benefits published any more.
Offers *may* appear on that tab which specify they apply to your tier.

Re: Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
Hi @Olders The VIP scheme is just a marketing gimmick. When everyone is a VIP, then nobody is a VIP.

Re: Sky VIP - Tier Benefits
I feel the same - 20 years with Sky and the cost keeps going up and up. Extra if you want HD etc... They even had me sign up for 4K tv at an extra cost even though there were no 4K channels that I could watch. They were all sport or movies neither of which I had or am interested in. I'm just out of contract just purchased a freesat box and i'm leaving... So long Sky, and thanks for all the fish...

An increasing percentage of other content (modern dramas in particular) have a UHD version available on-demand.

Incorrect - there are differences between the tiers,
As you change tiers you will notce differing offers/free rewards within the VIP section of the My Sky app.

Clearly you aren't looking in the right place. Just at the top of my head i'm fairly sure Platinium level VIP members get 6 months free of Paramount +, whilst for those at the Diamond level that increases to 12 months free. Also pretty sure Diamond customers get free delivery when ordering Sky Glass which people at other levels don't get.
These are just 2 examples from the top of my head, i'm sure there is a few more as well.

Sky VIP started in 2017
As noted above, one difference between tiers is the number of additional entries gifted in prize draws, which you've just reminded me to check on.
