My father-in-law has been emailed some 'offers' from Sky Priority Customers, email: [Removed]
there are numerous errors and they haven't even used the correct name.
he has been dealing with this company for his contract, and he thinks it's Sky, but I'm not convinced.
Can anyone confirm whether this is a fake company or actually Sky?
thanks

I would be cautious like you over this and why we can't be certain based on what you have said here if they are offering him discounts and are asking for his financial information then it wouldn't be Sky.

Re: Sky Priority Customers Concern
Hard to say @LouC1978 there's certainly a division within Sky for Priority customers. Perhaps best for him to call.

Re: Sky Priority Customers Concern
Thanks.
I can't really add more detail. It was addressed to the wrong person. It has numerous grammatical errors. It does offer him discounts but I couldn't see it asking for financial information.
He insists on communicating via email, even when he phones. He's elderly and likes things in writing.
Something just didn't seem right with this. I've never seen the @Sky.uk address (only sky.com) and I certainly can't find any email contact details for them,
I'll tell him he must phone Sky.

Re: Sky Priority Customers Concern
I think that's wise.
Sky do use an @Sky.uk domain, and there's certainly a contact email address specifically for Priority customers. Other than for Priority customers, Sky don't generally use email as a means of contact.

Re: Sky Priority Customers Concern
I'd note it's not particularly helpful to the public that since I last looked it up on whois the sky.uk domain appears to have had its ownership details redacted and it's now effectively hidden behind a 'corporate domain portfolio management service'. Prior to this the Sky Group registration and Osterley Park address at least offered some reassurance.

@TimmyBGood I agree - not helpful for anyone even knowing where to look for confirmation of authenticity. I wouldn't, without sitting and thinking about it for a while......

Yeah unfortunately redacting information on the whois record appears to slowly be becomming the norm,

Re: Sky Priority Customers Concern
I saw this and wondered whether you sorted out the problem ?
To start with Priority Customers [Removed] are a genuine department within Sky - but I would strongly recommend that you avoid them.
They took over my sky account at some point in the last 4 years and once they have control - you are unable to use any "normal" discounts etc
They also refuse to tell me WHY they took over the admin of my account - giving me NO options other than leaving sky if I am unhappty wuth their pricing structure.
The first that I knew was when I tried to negotiate a better deal, last year and was told "sorry we can't deal directly with you"..... ! I AM THE BLO ODY CUSTOMER !!
Their pricing is FULL price for most of the bits (HD = £9 etc)
I have been a paying customer of sky for 23 years and am disabled (unable to speak on the phone) yet have no say over how much I pay sky
