Morning, I've a deal being offered for Sky cinema at £10 per month. I'm already on a good negotiated package which shows signature ending April 2024, and Sport Nov 2024. I've noted it says by adding cinema to my package I will be re-contracting to sky. So my question is will my current negotiated deal end, meaning my subscriotion charges increase could increase or will they remain the same until my deals end? I dont want to add cinema to find my subscription has a huge increase in a couple of months time. Any advice appreciated. Many thanks!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhat will happen is that you are committing to another minimum term contract, so if you try to cancel they will charge early termination fee.
Your discounts on the other packages "may change" but i would expect those discounts to remain for the dates already specified i/e April 2024, before that package cost increases. The fact that you already have sport going until Nov 2024, you would see a price rise on your Singature package subscription after April 2024 when your in-contract discount for that expires as well, regardless of whether you add Sky Cinema on.
Rather than signing up online, i'd suggest phoning sky and see if you can do a deal, i/e agree to add Sky Cinema for that 10/month but ask if you can extend your current discounts on Signature and Sport (or maybe try and negoitate a slightly better discount on those packages, if you dont ask you wont get 😀) so the end discount date for all 3 packages is in 18 months time.

I've just had the same situation! I joined sky movies 2 months ago at £12 a month. - (wish I'd waited as it's £10 now). Only to find the bill was going up by £3 in Dec & £5 in Jan. (I posted on here). After numerous calls(trying to get through) they said end of Sky signature contract/therefore the increase. I managed to get it down a bit ......will be paying £2 extra. Try catching them on the weekend. Good luck!
