Scammed

Today I received a call from a guy saying he was from sky and that my monthly payments would be cut by 40% and that I would receive an iPad another guy then rang and gave me my sky information and like a fool I went along with it I'm now completely sure it's a scam

You are correct @Budgie1 it is a scam as there is no way Sky would give you a free iPad. What you need to do is to call Sky tomorrow about this as the chances are they might order a device now they have access to your account so should it show up do not give it to any courier that calls to pick it up but instead call Sky who will give you instructions in how you return it only to Sky. Also change your password if you are yet to do this and take a read of this:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/account-takeover

If you receive an unexpected parcel from Sky get in touch with our customer services team immediately. We can give advice on what to do. Don’t send the parcel anywhere except our returns address.

We’ll give you pre-paid returns packaging to send the parcel back to us.

Yes it was a scam. I would recommend logging into your account & change the password, I'd also check to see if any devices have been ordered on the account & if so try to cancel them. Should that not be possible then you'll eventually receive the device/s, on doing so you'll most likely receive another call saying there's been a mistake & that a courier will come & pick them up or that you'll need to post them to an address they'll provide - do neither but instead contact Sky who'll send you a returns label.

Virginia.
I don’t work for Sky.
