Scam or intercept calls

Hello,

I was looking for help and I called into one of sky number, everything was fine until started to be suspicious in the call,

the "advisor" was too friendly: asking me from where is my name, that my English is very good, that take a cup of coffee and seat in the time he is helping me, etc.

I was wondering if it was a intercept call: I called into a sky number but someone hacked the call? Unfortunately I "provide my validations details". And after I got scared about the weird situation.

@Enola1  Calls can't be "hacked" did you call an 0330 number?

It's higly unlikely scammers will invest time & effort to intercept calls like this.  It's much easier for them to actually call you.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Scam or intercept calls

Hey

Yes the number was 0333,

I was scared because of type of questions and comments, if is an advisor I know they must be friendly but his behaviour was not good, also he told me about the survey I usually do when I get the help from them. And I never received. Usually I received in short period.

thanks

@Enola1

By that I presume you mean the previously agreed telephone password. That should be asked for by an agent on an incoming or outgoing call so the agent can be satisfied they are speaking with the account holder. I'd be more worried if you weren't asked to verify your details.

I've had to contact them recently a few times over various matters and although they mention the survey every single time I've yet to receive one in the last month or two, there was one agent who wanted to do it over the phone with her which was odd. Perhaps they have an issue with them at the moment and they were trying some daft workaround.
