SKY PRICE INCREASE

Hi I just had a letter that sky are increasing my bill by £10 a month from April. I was aware there was an increase in April but by £10 is robbery. I only renewed 4 months ago so think it's disgusting. I spoke to advisor who was rude and unhelpful , so I shall not be paying after April as they will not cancel my contract , but they will cancel when I don't pay , £10 is a huge increase just for sky signature , so the discount they gave me 4 months ago to renew they have taken off me now . Well sorry sky unacceptable , Goodbye

@Lee2467

They won't cancel if you don't pay. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you can't cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involve a debt recovery company.

@Lee2467

You are talking to other customers here and not Sky. If you don't pay after April Sky will chase you for the amount you owe them as the issue will not just go away so it could end up with it ending up on your credit record and a knock on the door from a debt collection company.

@Lee2467  Withholding payment won't make sky cancel your account you will just keep incurring monthly costs and fees which will ultimately be passed on to debt collectors to recover the money

sky are within their rights to hold you to the contract as the latest terms and conditions explicitly state that you can't cancel unless sky agrees to let you

@Lee2467 'disgusting' or not, you agreed to the terms and conditions of your Sky service which specify how they can increase prices. Nobody welcomes price rises but the increase is within the terms of your agree,ent with Sky and refusing to pay puts you in the wrong.
