Trying to downgrade Netflix to the 'free' tier to offset Sky's ridiculous price hike, only to be presented with a check box that is required for Sky to run a credit check - to pay less money?? Err, you what mate? Is this just a shameless tactic to prevent people from downgrading easily?
Why on earth would I need to consent to a credit check in order to give Sky LESS money per month?

Turns out... yes.
If I try to remove Whole Home - no credit check box in the basket. Try to downgrade Netflix - credit check box appears. Quite a ridiculous system.

Update:
Did call Sky, and was able to downgrade to the included Netflix tier. My theory is that lots of people who were once happy to pay a little extra for Netflix without ads, now see this as an easy option to offset Sky's April price hikes - so they've added a little deterrent into the process to prevent or complicate what should be an easy exercise.
Sneaky.
