Afraid not.

Restrictions are applied automatically and agents can’t override this process. Sky won’t reinstate services until you’ve paid what is owed and set up a new continuous payment method.

If your payment is two or more weeks overdue you will have to pay the next bill as well. If you’re in arrears for 56 days or more Sky can fully terminate your subscription. Any calls to Sky will only prompt you to make a payment.

It’s worth adding that on rare occasions they will allow you to carry over up to £25 to the next month but that will be based on your previous payment history. Sky don't allow payment plans on overdue live accounts, nor will they consider promises to pay on or by a certain date.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should be reinstated, but this may not be instant. (Any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week).

You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link
https://www.sky.com/manage/bill/

The only way to restore your services is to pay what you owe in full when you can because until that happens they will remain suspended. Even if you got through to Sky they would not be able to do anything for you as the restrictions are automated and can not be overridden.

Re: Restricted service

Thank you for reply. I want to cancel my subscription. Sky has its customers in a chokehold with this process. Making sure you pay then you can speak to someone.

It's first time I've heard of this method.

I'll sort something out.

Thanks again 👍

You won't be able to cancel whilst in arrears.

Re: Restricted service

Thanks for response. I actually want to cancel my subscription. This method put in place by sky is not in interest of their customers..

Thank you

As stated, you can't cancel whilst services are restricted

Once your services are reinstated (ie; you've paid and reset your payment method)…

To cancel all your TV subscription, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.

If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

If you are cancelling Broadband/Talk altogether you need to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. Remember that if you are still in a discounted 18/24 months deal Sky could impose cancellation charges.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of any notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.

They tend to enforce the contracts that customers agree...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
