After being a "loyal" Sky customer for over 22 years now I am quite appalled to be rewarded with a 10% price increase (the maximum permissible under the contract).
Are we now being victimised by the number of people illegally streaming Sky products?
I can understand a small increase as Netflix & other third party companies have made marginal increases but not as much as 10%!

It is after discounts in all honesty.
I have tried contacting Sky directly & was informed that the 10% increase was across the board with everyone . I found this strange after researching media & finding disparities.
Once again I haggled only to be told "I am on the best price available" until my "loyalty" discount contract ends in November.
I am now starting to feel that Sky no longer rewards any kind of loyalty.

I'd suggest a big part of the increase is due to rising costs affecting Sky ( infrastructure related costs for Sky Mobile and Broadband, along with the increased costs in sports rights and general TV production).

Annoying, but within the terms you agreed to...
As an aside, is that net (with discounts) or gross (list price) increase? As quite often the list price increase was lower than 10%
