Re: Refund of credit

  • I closed my account in March and still have not received my refund its took 3 calls to the cancellation team for sky to accept that I want to cancel whilst they continued to take money from my account, then do an enquiry in case I was lying! Then they simply texted me to go to my sky app where it informs me my account that's closed is now in credit! I want my money in my bank account please!

@Claire621
We can help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here if you wish. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.

Additionally if your payment method has been cancelled Sky will either have to reinstate your payment method or manually raise a cheque via a back office team and post it to you so it’ll it further delayed.

Before we can escalate it to Sky please confirm in your reply whether the payment method is still active.

Re: Refund of credit

No I'll wait for a cheque as I don't trust sky to not take more money from my account

@Claire621
I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

This link explains what happens.

Re: Refund of credit

Hi ,

I've had a letter from sky saying I was incorrectly charged for the equipment returned ( 12 months ago) and there is a credit on my account, can you help refund this to me please?

thanks 🙏

@M4TTM

As you've had a letter presumably your payment method is now cancelled. If there is a credit showing you'll need to contact Sky to arrange a refund by them either reinstating your payment method or posting a cheque to you which will take much longer.

@M4TTM

The method used earlier in this thread to contact the Messaging Team has been unavailable for a few months.

These are the current methods for contacting Sky. Some methods will be more appropriate than others depending on the reason for contact……

🟧 📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline if you have Sky Broadband. The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers but official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are usually inclusive from non Sky phones.

All calls will start automated (aka ‘the bot’) which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and sometimes saying nothing when asked the reason for the call helps being put in the queue for an agent.

🟧online help via this link
https://www.sky.com/help
If necessary a number may be visible at the end of the correct help flow.

🟧Sky Assistant 💬 should also be available via
https://www.sky.com/help
for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

🟧Social Media You can also get in touch via the messaging services on Facebook or Instagram, (links at the bottom of the forum page).

🟩Note ~ ROI customers If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required. The Sky Ireland phone lines are closed at a weekend.
