Refund from sky - need advice!

Hi everyone, hoping someone can help me out here. I cancelled my entire sky package in May 2023 and returned all equipment etc. I noticed in September Sky were still taking money from my account and rang to query this. I was advised by an agent that sky had not cancelled my TV package and were mistakenly still taking my money. It was then cancelled and I was advised by the agent that a refund of £150 would be sent back to me on the first of this month- her exact words were "do not cancel your direct debit as you will not get the money" so I didn't.

 

The money has not arrived in my account so I rang Sky today after a weeks Grace to be informed by one of their agents that the money is now credited to my (now defunct) sky account! Can anyone tell me how I can go about getting this money back from sky as I am absolutley furious as it is money I cannot afford to lose!

@Happygolucky1  If you log in to your old sky account does it show the amount as a credit?

Keep an eye out for an invite or blue chat bubble.

When the blue bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed.

Be reassured the email & message is from Sky and your details are safe and secure.
If you are using Safari please make sure that Hide IP Address is not checked in order to see the blue bubble. If you are having trouble finding this to check the settings, use another browser such as Firefox, Chrome etc.

I would also recommend that if not already on, that you turn email/private message notifications on to avoid missing any alerts

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
