I recently signed up for Sky Broadband. During my initial set up and call with Sky I was notified of the referral process and told that I could use my account number for rewards.
I have a family member also with Sky so they provided me their referral link. I input my new account number to active but received an error message; "Sorry! This offer is only available for new customers." But I am a new customer? How do I make use of this referral/new account reward for me and the other household?

That's bizarre because the customer service associate on the phone gave me my account number as I finished signing up and told me that I could arrange to use it with my family's referral.
So basically they lied? Not sure why they would have told me how to set it up if it was too late?

I suppose I could have misheard but they asked me explicitly if someone else I knew was already with Sky. When I said yes they said that was great because I could use my new account number (which they then gave to me) to get rewards for us both! 🤷🏻♀️
I called Sky yesterday and they suggested I have to wait until my cooling off period ends to get the rewards. So now I’m getting conflicting information..
