Rang Sky the other day re the above, my current bill including Superfast Broadband at £29 is £128.50 - it was £107 in January .
Also have, Sky Signature, Ultimate TV Add On (which includes Netflix), the Sports complete package, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports HD, Sky HD, Multiscreen, MUTV, See It First, and Ultra HD .
In the past I've been successful at getting the bill reduced when it's crept up but not this time, the rep said its gone up because "offers have expired", so I asked about dropping stuff - ie Sky Cinema (save £11), "No problem " she said and also Ultra HD (save£4), "Ah , if you do that your Netflix will will rise by £7 next month when Netflix goes up ".
Didn't really understand why so can anyone please enlightenment me?

As above - I spoke to 2 Sky reps about removing Sky UHD - costs £4/month - and was told that this would actually increase my bill by £7 due to Netflix costing me more, so I'm better off keeping Sky UHD. Neither of them could tell me why other than to say "because it will".
Anyone able to explain this to me please?

Contract changes trigger a change in the regime to the newer charging structure (if you're on the 'old' one) - I'm sure someone will post the specific details. I guess it's possible it could be more expensive depending on the specific account configuration.

Hi @jimox
It does depend on what Netflix plan is currently in your package.
Assuming g you are prepared to also drop UHD for Netflix then your bill should reduce provided you renegotiate your Netflix plan in line with the latest prices and choose the Netflix Standard with Ads.
Netflix prices have changed.
However these changes should not come into effect unless you change or renew your Package .
Netflix Standard with Ads
Included with Sky Signature
High definition
Watch on 2 devices.
Boost to Netflix Standard (No Ads).
£10
High definition
Watch on 2 devices
Boost to Netflix Premium
£15
Ultra high definition
Watch on 4 devices

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've just received an email, regarding my contracts ending. Apparently they've calculated new discounts automatically applied them and there's no new contract. My Netflix premium equivalent) will continue at £8 a month which based on the New Netflix offers is decent. But, make any changes to anything else, it all changes.
I've always been one to try an negotiate a new contract, so did a live chat, and whilst they gave me some decent reductions on HD/UHD, multiroom etc, the signature base pack has shot up. So working it out, I was only saving £5 and loosing Netflix premium, by signing a new 18 month contract. Suffice to say, I've left it as it is, for now....
