I'm not surprised by an annual increase, I expected it 1 year in, not 1 month. Especially when it was customer retentions that gave me the new price, that I willl only pay once.
As I've said I must be a bit unique that it galls me that a company gives me a price knowing they are going to increase it the month after, because that's what they've always done

(tip) I've just renegotiated (February) and waited until the agents knew what the rises were.
