Price increase from April
Good afternoon. I joined Sky in January - Sky Stream plus Sky Sports. Received confirmation of price increase from April. Is there any sort of grace period for this increase as seems a little harsh just a few months into contract - especially if I had signed up in a few months it would have been £22 per month for another year.
Increase not the issue - more the principle, I guess.

@danielbcfc1987 unfortunately not the only protection you had was no increase within the first 60 days of you signing the agreement

Re: Price increase from April
Sometimes Sky defer the annual increase for a few months when customers join just before the increase but you may have missed whatever cut off point is relevant.

There is 60 day grace period from when you contract started until Sky can make a price increase, like in your case for the annual price increase. As You contract started Janauary the April price increase more than more than 60 days since your contract started. I should add I too am in same boat as I was also recontracted in January and like you I still have the price increase.

Re: Price increase from April
I started a new broadband contract mid January. Because of the way Sky handle bills with overcharging and credit I'll never pay the price I signed up for before it increases.

Re: Price increase from April
I should add that it is Sky full advertised price that is increased in April every year, if you have any discounts they remain the same for the period of your minimum term. Therefore had your contract started in April you still would have payed the new price, you would just not have had another increase for another year providing you were still in your minimum term.
