When? If after 2 weeks you haven't had a reply, contact them again to chase it up.

Re: Price hike April 2024

They did reply...

Staying price increase from April 23.

1 month after I signed up. That was it!

No mention of anything else...

I am in the process of escalating with the alternative disputes team.

No point me wasting anymore time with them, I have asked for a deadlock letter.

A rise of that magnitude would only be because of expiring discounts.  Is this what your bills show?

(Without knowing the exact deal it's hard to comment here - from my recollection there were some deals with short-term discount periods as mentioned above)

With broadband you can leave penalty free when they increase in April once notified.  (Of course, that doesn't resolve the current issue)

And if that was the case, @MikeAngry , Sky would not have a reason to mention it in reply to your complaint.

Increase of charges

Hi. When I retook out sky last year I was told the price would stay the same for 18 month, but I've just had email to say it's going up £2.00 in April. Can they do this when I was told price would change

Re: Price hike April 2024

I have included dates. It is NOT a short term deal with the price increasing mid contract.

No sky deal would include a price rise in month one followed by a 58% increase month 6 and another price rise in month 12. Your making ridiculous excuses for an appalling service.

@Cazra236

Yes. It's written into the T's and C's. Sky can increase prices once a year every year which for customers in the UK is in April.

Re: Increase of charges

Thank you, I can't understand why they would like and say the price would stay the same, that's bad of them, but thank you for letting me know

That's incorrect. Sky frequently offer deals which are cheaper for the first six months. All Sky services are subject to a price increase from 1 April each year.

@Cazra236

It's your discounts that stay the same not the standard undiscounted cost. So if you pay £20 for example which has £5 off with discounts and the cost increases £1 to £26 you will still see a £5 discount so you'll pay £21. Hope that makes sense.

@MikeAngry

Sky staff are clearly identified with a blue circle around their avatar and a description stating they are an employee.

There will be a 'prices may change' clause.  (Sky did precious few fixed price contracts)

Did you check your discounts?

It sounds like something has gone wrong - obviously you'll need to keep pestering Sky.
