Price Increase

I'm leaving Sky TV at the end of November as my contract ends. I've been trying to strike a deal but to no avail. Anyway was checking my bills and I've noticed an increase of £1.40 on my account for next month's payment. I've had no letter or anything.

Anybody else had anything similar? Just seems odd but the principal is there. Why the increase... is it because I want to leave?

Hi there. I have made attempts to renew my contract but due to the increase - I've decided to leave - but I've been told not to give notice until 30 November which is when my contract ends which is what I'll be doing. So are you saying they've done that because I will be leaving?

Hi @LDM56   Irrespective of what you have been told, I would give the required 31 days notice, 31 days before your minimum term (not contract) ends. Your billing will continue right up to your last notice day on 30th November, so expect billing in October, November and possibly December. You will then get a refund of the overpayment.

Your contract doesn't end unless you have actually given notice to cancel?

The increase will be expiring discounts.

As we pay in advance with Sky if your discount is coming to an end then the increase is usually shown on the bill prior to the date it actually ends which might be why you are seeing this small increase on that bill.
