Beware, I had a call from Sky Assured. It's a scam. Once I started to question him he rang off.

Just hand a call from Sky Maintenance saying my maintenance contract had expired. I said I didn't have a contract and they insisted I did. I told them I would phone Sky direct to check this and they said I could do that and they terminated the call. Definitely a scam.

Today I received a very assertive phone call telling me I took out a mandatory Sky Maintenance Contract and it was due for renewal today. She knew my post code and said information had been sent out in March to which I had not responded. She said there would be a financial penalty if I didn't renew. I told her I had no contract and was recording the call. I aske d her to send me the paperwork again and she said she couldn't as today was the last chance to renew. In the end she got fed up with my challenging her and hung up. She was very convincing but how did she know my post code and full address. A little concerning.

Just called me ~ out of the blue ~ female offers me 1 year or 2 year renewal, with discounts on my 'current' maintenance for Sky. Trouble was the figure she quoted me that I was paying by Direct Debit was way out, when I pointed this out she had an answer -taxes etc. NOTE she confirmed that this company is offering me £100 for 12 months or £160 for 24 months but would take FULL payment immediately. I said goodbye & hung up. The telephone no 0131 xxxxxxxxxxx is live & when dialed took me to Television Maintenance. So not really a scam, but a cold call selling ploy trying to get more cash out of me in one go than my DDs.

I also got called from a 011-XXXXXXX number.
I asked how come this maintenance "contract is separate from the subscription that I just renewed. He mentioned this was something extra that's on the devices themselves.
I asked if they could email me the details and got the answer, they've emailed me since May which is something I've never received but to keep saying they're unable to re-sending the emails due to already have sent on numerous times without any replies seems suspicious
I told them that I need time to do some reearch as I'm not comfortable due to keep getting these scam calls and he then told me his "boss" is going to call me later this afternoon.
I'll update when I have more details.

Sky Protect is administered by Domestic and General Insurance, which is why it's separate from Sky.

@Mark39 Yeah I checked it out while on the phone, and this is nothing i've been signed up to.
The thing why i felt it was a scam was just the fact when i kept asking why something like insurance and maintenance was separated from the subscription when the devices comes with, he wasn't really able to provide an answer that was satisfactory, just that they were doing maintenance on Sky tv's. and that his "boss" will call to explain
I asked where their office was located and he just mumbled a city half audibly.
I'm not so sure they will call back as the last thing i said was, "I hope you understand that we keep getting multiple SCAM calls and I'll be doing my research"

The "boss" actually called back and I told them "I've never had any contract nor insurance on my Sky devices, I was told "Yes, we can see monthly payments" which should be impossible, as I had previously said no to extra insurance.
Anyways, when at my first question, I asked: Can you please tell me, first 4 characters in the email address I used and you sent emails to? The boss said "Yes, sure I can" and then she hung up and never called back.
