Phone call regarding 30% discount

I've just had this call off a lady. As soon as I said I'm not giving any personal information over the phone she hung up!

I've just had same call 

It came up potential fraud and reported fraud 

When I said ill contact sky and ask them about it he was quite cocksure of himself when I then said I'd checked out number online and it came up as Billing scam he hung up

I got the phone call too. Had a wonderful time throwing some well chosen insults at him and told him where to get off. Very satisfying. Only thing that worries me is there are plenty out there that will for for it. SKY should send a text out to their customers to warn them of this.

I get this at least 5 times a week. I like to wind them up now. I just got asked for a passcode. I spelled it out for them. I said it S C A M M E R you are a scammer.

i had a conversation with one girl asking her why she did this to people. I actually felt a bit sorry for her. 
I play along as if I'm amazed sky are going to give me this amazing discount. Other times I I tell them to leave me alone.

it depends when mood I'm in.

Bizarrely, a lot of them aren't actually aware they are scamming people.  They 'come to work' to call people to offer these discounts genuinely thinking they are doing are service...

I have just had the same call. from: 01376 8-0-4-4-5-8.

They said they needed to speak to their manager to give me the discount, but manager was busy, and they are going to call me back.  

(It sounded too goood to be true - a 30% discount - glad I checked here.)

I'm going to block the number.

Same call - no idea who I was, costs etc.. Telephone Number used was London code virtual number ending 8907. Kept her on the phone for 20 mins.

I got a call just now from a Leighton Buzzard phone number. They passed me through to their "supervisor" when I asked them to send me a confirmation email that they were speaking to me on the phone, they put the phone straight down. 

Shocker 🤣

Sky wouldn't send you such an email, even if the call was genuine (which from your description it wasn't).
