Does that bill total now show as £0.00 and there is no credit on your account ?

My sky broadband subscription was due 28th October via direct debit. But I made payment through my debit card. My bill account is showing paid but, I'm getting email that I'm overdue for payment
So that's been caused because you made the manual payment. As you have to can a direct debit or continuous payment method setup on your Sky account you should never be making a manual payment unless asked to by Sky. The direct debit request gets created several days prior to the payment date so any manual payments won't stop the direct debit payment and will instead end up as credit on your account going towards next months bill.

Currently it is showing credit balance of £28. And that's the amount I paid on the morning of October 28th. Sky is currently trying to take the £28 through direct debit from my account for the past two days. I have put some funds into the account now, in case they try again tomorrow

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky will take the payment from direct debit because you made the manual payment (which you didn't have to) to close to the billing date to stop it.
The £28 credit can either be left to pay next months bill or can be refunded and help on this can be arranged for you via here if you would like ?

Yeah I shouldn't have made the manual payment 🤣🤣

I will just wait for them to take the payment and use it as my credit for next month payment . Hope they won't charge me again next month if I use the credit balance

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThey shouldn't. Providing there's credit on your Sky account when your next bill is generated (two weeks before payment date), your credit should be used first.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt should use the credit balance so if that bill isn't showing now that this will be what will happen then I should imagine it will nearer the billing date for it.
