Overcharged

I have been ridiculously overcharged, accusing me of not paying back in May when I 10000% did and charged me 3x for sky tv with netflix, sky sports and kids in one month.

Getting nowhere talking to them, as apparently I'm the one in the wrong!

If you are new to the forum or this is your first post then welcome to the Community, which is predominantly made up of Sky customers helping other Sky customers. You aren’t talking to Sky by posting here.

We obviously can't see your bills. If Sky are saying you were in the wrong did you make any manual payments?

No point in making a complaint. You were in the wrong. You only ever need to make a manual payment if your services have been restricted. Other manual payments are unnecessary as the T's and C's you’ve agreed to state you should have a direct debit or continuous card payment method set up. Simply DON’T make any manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

Any manual payment has probably correctly gone as a credit on your Sky account (to be used on your next bill), and then if the planned payment Sky try to take fails your services stand the risk of being restricted.

In the future it's best to let the Direct Debit or continuous card payment you have set up (as per the T's and C's) do the transaction Sky will be expecting.

Re: Overcharged

It's never been an issue before, I've been with Sky 3 years and have always made a manual payment and always paid on time

The T's and C's you've agreed to state you have to have either a direct debit or a continuous card method set up. So no manual payment is needed and you've unfortunately brought this issue on yourself.

Is there any credit showing in your account as makings Hal payments can see a credit applied to the account instead of the bill being paid so I am wondering if this happened ?

If you have made your manual payment on the same payment date every month you will be be best setting up a direct debit or continuous  card payment any way  as according to to your contract with Sky you are committed to do so.
Though you have may have got away with manual payment up to now this method can easly lead to the situation you are now in. If your service have been restricted Sky will only restore them once the outstanding payment is made and cleared. I am sorry to say the manual payment you may have made will not count and will only appear as a credit on your next bill. Also will also now require you to set a new continuous payment either direct debt or continuous card payment before your service can be restored any way. You can chose the date the Sky will take payment ( any day of the month from the 1st to 28 th of the month). Unfortunately if you want your service restored it not be if you just want to continue paying manually without a continuous payment as described above being set up.
