New offers not applicable if in contact??

I'm locked in a contact on both my broadband and TV package - yet in my offers area had offers available that would have reduced both my tv bill and my broadband yet when I called I was told they are not available to me as I'm in the the contact. Why on earth are these coming up as offers available to me then?

@mchoccy1 i think what people see are generic offers not specific to each customer, and the onus is on customer to see if the offer is available to them
