New customer

My current contract ends on 2nd June and I want to move to Sky, when should I do this?

I need to ensure that I don't have any disruption in supply.

Hi @PhilBees   Assuming that you mean broadband, that is a question for your current provider. However Sky will credit you any early termination fees. https://www.sky.com/help/articles/switching-credit-offer Important, if you want continuity of service, don't tell your current provider that you are leaving, leave it all up to Sky (broadband & home phone only, not TV).

Re: New customer

Thanks

iI don't have a home phone, I am looking at a Broadband and TV package to start on the 2nd June, so I don't get any early cancellation charges.

If broadband the one touch switch should maintain continuity

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi @PhilBees   Sky will not charge you early termination fees, that will be your current provider, ask them.

@PhilBees

Sky Talk is automatically bundled together with Sky Broadband when you join. If you don't want to connect a handset, which is fine, just make sure you're on the default Sky Pay As You Talk tariff. That way if you make no calls there are no Sky Talk charges.

Hi @PhilBees   You cannot specify a change date, that is outside of Sky's control (Openreach). Just use the One Touch Switch normally within 14 days of your minimum term of your old supplier (or it may be a month, ask them). You can not use the One Touch Switch for TV so may have to cancel you old TV service once your new Sky TV service is up and running.
