My account
Hi, I closed my account in June and I am getting emails from sky saying I still owe money for August?
I have tried calling and I have been called but every time I answer nobody talks and the line goes dead?
This is very poor customer service.
I have been a very loyal customer for a very long time and this is not how a professional company should act.

Re: My account
Three questions initially …
How did you cancel?
Did you receive an email from Sky acknowledging the cancellation?
Did you cancel your payment method to soon? Billing continues throughout a notice period and as bills are generated 14 days before the payment date it stands a chance another payment was due.
By the way, you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services on here. This is a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to try to help other customers.

Re: My account
It's unlikely you'll be able to speak to Sky while they believe your account is in arrears. It's common to be initially charged beyond the dste your services ceased. Sky will then refund the overpayment from the cessation date.Your Sky billing will show the details.
The most practical solution would be to pay the amount outstanding, which will enable you to obtain any refund due.

Re: My account
So essentially I have to pay them so I can talk to them then wait for a refund on the money I just paid them all so I can talk to somebody?
is it just me or is that not the most rediculous thing ever.
i was thinking to switch to sky glass but after this experience i wont waste my time.

Re: My account
It sounds like you cancelled your payment method too quickly and there was another payment to be taken. Part of that payment will be refunded to you so you'll only be paying Sky what you actually owe them.

Re: My account
Thank you for your reply.
To answer that, I had read through all the procedures and I closed the account within the 31 day period as they had it written down and made payments for the following month, I went onto my account in July and said it was closed and the payment they say I didn't make was August which is 2 months after the account is closed?
I still can't get through to them on the phone and it is getting ridiculous.
