Moving Country?

I'm thinking of moving from Northern Ireland to the South of Ireland I was wondering if I would be able to continue on with my contract or would I need to send back my Sky Glass TV and start the contract over?

@KaneC89 Whatever happens if you have a Glass TV you own it so you will not be able to return it to Sky.

With regards to moving I would contact Sky to get a definitive answer but I imagine it will just be an amendment to your account with a change of address.

Moving from Northern Ireland to Republic of Ireland will involve a new contract

You will have different channels lineup and different subscription prices will apply

Northern Ireland supply of services is with Sky UK as Northern Ireland is part of UK

Republic of Ireland supply of services is with Sky Ireland and not with Sky UK

Note

Sky Glass/Sky Stream in Republic of Ireland

You won't have access to ITV or  Channel 5 channels or the apps for those channels

In regards to ITV content

Some ITV content but not all is broadcast on Virgin Media Channels 1/2/3/4

In regards to Channel 5 content some select content is sometimes broadcast on RTÉ 1

You get Channel 4/E4/More 4/Film 4 channels and Channel 4 App

Some live channel 4 broadcasts you will see as not available effects mosty live sport

Note the Channel 4 app you don't get access to live broadcasts from the App

You will have the BBC channels but you wont  have the BBC iPlayer App

In regards to BBC channels most broadcasts you will have to watch live as it's limited the content that's available as on demand

You willl need to contact Sky UK in regards your existing contract and also contact Sky Ireland to setup a new subscription of services

If you want TNT Sports channels you will have to subscribe to Sports Extra

Sports Extra is TNT Sports and Premier Sports

Note from August 2024

UEFA Champions League/Europa/Conference League will be with Premier Sports in Republic of Ireland

This will be for seasons 2024/2025 - 2025/2026 - 2026/2027

Changes to Sports Extra Subscription will likely apply in 2024 due to premier sports getting UEFA broadcast rights in Republic of Ireland

Discovery+ App

Note TNT Sports isn't available through discovery+ in the Republic of Ireland

@KaneC89

This has cropped up before (well, UK to ROI has). It does involve cancelling your current subscriptions and starting afresh.
