I'm the account holder but the Sky package was for my dad at my old address. He passed away two months ago. I contacted Sky to cancel, was informed I couldn't cancel TV as i'm the account holder so I would owe £24.50 a month until next May. Decided to cancel my own NOW TV package and transfer to my address. Engineer came out last week. Told me I have offers of Sky SPorts, Cinema and Kids TV for two months and I'll need to contact to cancel next month. Okay. Then received email from Sky last week saying I've confirmed I'm taking up these offers and I'm now in a 24 month contract and future bills will rise to over £80. Tried for a week to conact Sky on Live Message and the virtual assistant just freezes and I never get put through.
In my chat transcript the agent mentioned I may receive a message or email about new contracts but just to ignore it. Sorry but I can't afford to go on that if within the next three weeks my ignoring it counts as confirming these grat new offers I didn't ask for!!
I'm annoyed at having to deal with this when I have so many other more pressing things to sort out with my dad's estate.
