Re: Money taken from account
You should usually need to make a payment like this unless you services have been suspended so if that is not the case then Sky should take it automatically from you each month via whatever payment method you have set up on your account.
Do you see any credit on your account ?
Do you have a payment method set up on your account ?

Re: Money taken from account
I've always paid via debit card off my own back, it just says I owe it still so not sure what's going on.

Re: Money taken from account
You might have always done this but you shouldn't be so my two questions above still stand:
Do you see a credit ?
Have you a payment method set up on your account ?

Re: Money taken from account
You might need to contact Sky about this to see what has happened then when this gets sorted I would leave it so they take the payment automatically from you each month then issues like this will not occur.

Re: Money taken from account
Have you had any luck with this? It's happened to me twice, once for a payment of £357 in November, then again tonight when I tried to pay £100.
These were payments off of CCA's, I pay my regular bills via direct debit.
Customer service is beyond useless, they keep telling me to do a direct debit indemnity claim even though the payments in question are both paid by card.

@Dawwg If you pay for any service from Sky then you have a contract with them.
I don't understand why people don't like using direct debits, your more protected by them than manual payments.

@Dawwg If you are so certin Sky have "robbed" people why are you a customer? it makes zero sense to me to remain a customer of a company you claim to know have robbed people, unless of cause you're just using imflamatory language to try and make your point seem more valid.
Billing errors do occur occasionally and its not just limited to Sky(i've had them with BT and Virgin Media) , the direct debit guarantee offers greater protection than making manual payments, obviously you are free to ignore that and continue to use the payment you prefer.

Re: Money taken from account
Ok how's this I tried and tried to get this money back. Apparently they didn't take it even though I showed them my bank statement apparently this money just magically vanished even though this particular money that went to Narnia had a transaction id. After proving all this apparently it still wasn't them. I've had the same issue with Microsoft lately. Never once had this issue elsewhere. Barring the 2, I have ee TV and I don't have a direct debit set up they don't make you do this either. I opted for card payments.
