Hi, am I correct in the understanding that there is absolutely no room for manoeuvre when it comes to people struggling to pay their bill? I have never been so much as a day late but during the cost of living crisis I have, understandably, been hit by financial troubles! If this is the case then I think sky really need to look into trying to help customers a bit more instead of restricting their services!

Find out moreIf your bill is paid by a direct debit then you have a 10 day respite as should the first attempt at taking the funds fail Sky will try again 10 days later. Other than that there is nothing that can be done as you could find your services restricted and should that happen you would need to pay it in full and also the next one if you are 2 weeks or more late in paying it. You would also need to setup or set it up again your payment method.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreA number of service based companies operate in the same way, this is because unlike when you are making a purchase of an item, which is a one off payment or see something reoccurring like a service you will most likely always be behind on the payments as they are recurring monthly costs.
Sky are generally open to reviewing the services you have and seeing if there are some that can be removed to lower monthly costs e.g removing some of the tv ads-ons to help bring costs down or changing the broadband and phone package you may have with them.

Be sure to speak to them before you miss a payment. Sky don't provide critical services as electricity, gas and water are, so I'm afraid their help may be limited.
