Is this a scam text?

Hi can somebody from Sky let me know if this text message I received today is genuine or not? I have been with Sky 15 years & never had a txt like this.

@Laura460 it looks genuine, but rather than using the link in the text, you could either wait for the letter mentioned, or log in yourself to the Bills & Payments section of your online account via sky.com/ie

Cannot see the text but I got one today as well on about problem with my name on bank account not matching told me I would get a letter, thought it was genuine as have been in contact with sky regarding new box.

The text message read 'Hi, it's Sky. We've noticed the name on your Direct Debit may not fully match your bank details as it currently shows as under 2 characters. Please update it at sky.ie/myaccount or contact us on 0*********. You'll also need your IBAN and BIC to hand. You will receive a letter regarding this shortly.'

I havn't been in contact with them atall lately, I find it very strange. When I went into my Sky account there's nothing about updating details.

That's the exact same one I got I actually clicked the link but it took me to my bills section on sky definitely a scam.

Funny when I went back later to read the text again the phone was after putting it in the spam folder
