Unbelievable! Sky sending me an increased bill every year in March. For my Sky TV with entertainment. I no longer wish for their entertainment packet yet I cannot
find anyone anywhere who can help. Am I to allow these fiends to carry on asking me to pay my direct debits every month but they don't wish to know me? And if I cancel
the Direct Debit will I get 'cut off' from my Sky box altogether?

The annual price increase takes place (usually in April) every year so it shouldn't really come as a surprise

The Entertainment pack is an older base pack. If you cancel that then you will be cancelling Sky fully. The latest base packs are Sky Signature and Ultimate so call Sky and negotiate a discount.

Of course. If you don't pay your services will be restricted and you won't be able to talk to Sky.

Thank you for letting me know! 😉 I lost my husband last December and have obviously not been as much 'with it' as I should have been. I have a telephone number (which will probably keep me there all day) of 0333 75 etc. Guess I have to keep plodding on. No doubt someone there will eventually tell me that my own package is not there anymore 😞 Not that its been much to start with.
Thanks again.

You can call Sky free by dialling 150 from a Sky Talk landline or a Sky Mobile, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).
You will find that similar to calling other large companies the start will be automated which may also try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up. If necessary say nothing when the automated system asks you what your call is about as it should then route your call into a queue for the next available agent.

If you have the Entertainment package, it's a legacy product and you'll almost certainly be paying over the odds for it now. The current equivalent is the Signature package which gives you more and is cheaper.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI always call 31 days or so before the contract ends to renegotiate the price. Be prepared with information on competitors offerings & mention this, if the offer isn't good enough then be prepared to give notice to cancel. While I don't want the same offer as a new customer I do want to save money.
