Impossible to link device ID to account

Tried and failed multiple times to add a separate device account to Sky account.  Calling Sky just means being transferred to multiple people and then being told to link account online (which isn't recognised).  So have an account I have no access to and regular arrears because of this.   Help:!!! Thank you

What's the background to this? Have you been a Sky customer before? What device?

Yes have a sky account which can access but for some reason device is on a separate account number.  Sky said would have to create a new ID under a different email address and then link the accounts.  However when I try and link it does not recognise the device account.   So I am unable to access any account information or make payment on the device online.  Thank you.

Do you pay by direct debit, or by recurring card payment? You can't pay by other means.
