I'm sorry, I haven't a clue

I have never used Sky before, so please be kind!

My son would like to get Sky Sports. We already have a Netflix subscription. We only have an ordinary flat screen TV.

Can you please tell me:

1) It says Sky Sports upgrade is £22 per month. There appears to be no basic package that I can see. What am I upgrading from if I'm a new customer?

2) Do I need to buy one of their TVs? I don't want to. There appears to be no way past this page.

3) It says "you won't pay twice for Netflix", yet there appears to be no way to connect the accounts.

4) Do we need to get someone to install something (a Sky Box?) or can we just pay and watch immediately.

Thanks for any help. This should be on the Sky website but I can't find it. Typical case of "you can navigate if you already know what you're doing." No Mickey Mouse guide at all 😞

If you want Sky Sports from Sky then you need to either:

1) Have Sky Q with a satellite dish and subscription.  You need a base subscription before you can add Sports.  (Total cost would be in the region of £40-70pm)

2) Glass TV and a subscription - the monthly cost will be higher as you are purchasing the TV

3) Stream - a plug in box for any TV - again, and a monthly cost similiar to 1)

Alternatively, look at NowTV which is a streaming-only service.  You need a TV that has the app or would need to plug a device in that supports the app.  https://www.nowtv.com/

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Thank you PandJ2020, that's just the information I was looking for. I think NowTV is the better option.

Cheers 🙂
