I'm barred from calling Sky

I had Sky fitted in July. The engineer aaked if I had movies, I said no. He said he'd give me a couple of months of movies for free as a gift.  My contract was 24 months at £22.50. I have been overcharged eveey single month... Over £60 overcharged. I called and got told it was my fault (without going into detail)  and there will be no refund.. and as a guesture I can have £10.... so I rejectes that and siad I'd cancel my dd until they contacted me. My ssrvice got suspended and I CANNOT call them unless I reinstate my dd... I chatted to a bot... then a person... and said withold your number... no nunber I call will even connect with a witheld number... so now they just keep sending me threatening emails but still no contact number... I have sèen some scams in my time and thought I'd seen it all... but they have managed to take it to a new level!

@Angry13  The reason you are barred from calling is because you have withdrawn payment so the following applies (in addition the free offer of movies will automatically continue as a chargeable subscription unless you cancelled it before the trial period ended)

If your account is restricted then unless you can get through via a number not linked to your account or by putting 141 before sky’s number then unfortunately you will need to do one of the following in order to remove the restrictions as sky won’t take your call until you do

1. Pay the outstanding balance in full (which you can do here https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bill/pay#M1014) and setup a new continuous payment method (which you can do here https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bill/change-payment-method#M1014) (services won’t be restored until the payment has cleared, so if payment is/was made on a weekend or bank holiday then it’s unlikely that payment will clear and services are restored until the next available working day)

Or

2. Pay all bar £25 (use the link posted above)(the unpaid £25 will be added to the next bill) and setup a new continuous payment method (use the link posted above) (services won’t be restored until the payment has cleared, so if payment is/was made on a weekend or bank holiday then it’s unlikely that payment will clear and services are restored until the next available working day)

Two important points about option 2

1. There is no guarantee that it will work as it depends on payment history

2. It is not applicable to mobile accounts

If your more than two weeks late in paying sky will insist on you paying next months bill in advance as well before restoring services

It is also important to note that sky don’t do payment plans I’m afraid (except on a legitimately closed account)

If you disagree with the billed amount it’s advised to pay it first to get service restored then you will be able to contact sky to dispute it and should sky agree an error has been made they will refund any overpayment

important note: if no payment is made within 56 days of payment due date of the last unpaid bill, Sky could cancel your account automatically.

@Angry13

Cancelling a payment method is definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services are now restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you can't cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

Yes, it's free for 2 months and then you are charged for it until cancelled.

My contract was 24 months at £22.50.

Sky contracts are rarely fixed price.  The contract says prices may change and they did in April.

An engineer  can't  give you  anything  free only a sky advisor  can do things like that, in order  to talk to someone  you will need to pay any outstanding bills  and setup  a direct debit payment  and then you will get to speak  to someone, but as this is word of mouth  you will probably  not get anywhere  trying to calm anything  I  have been with sky for 18 years  and never had an engineer  do that and also sky don't  send  engineers to install  sky glass tv  it's  self  installation
