How much should I be paying?

So,  my Sky contract for TV and Billing ends in June.  I am Diamond VIP (18 years) They have "very kindly" applied new offers to take my bill from £142 p/m to £159.

Called them up and they got this down to £152ish.

I have

Ultrafast Plus BB,

Cinema

Sports HD

UHD

HD,

Kids,

BB Boost

Ultimate TV

2 x Multiscreen

It's just seems crazy to me to keep paying over £150 a month for all this.  I can remove Kids and BB boost to save a tenner,  but in the real world I don't feel very "wanted".  I've spoken to retentions but they don't seem too willing to get this number into realiy.

So my question is,  how low can this number go in your experience and how do I get them to actualy make an effort to keep me?

I look forward to some insight.

Many thanks

Mike

Of late it seems incredibly hard to get the discounts of old.  Frankly, I would leave with that 'offer'.  They don't seem to be too bothered to retain custom given the posts of this forum.  However, there are a few stories of significant discounts.

Personally, I'd get quotes elsewhere as a negotiating tool but don't be frightened to give notice.  (Indeed, that may attract a better offer)

I believe you do need to speak to retentions as frontline staff are generally interested in selling you new stuff and don't give the best discounts.

That what I  said when I spoke to the retention team,  when you call and the automated system says we have sent you would you like to use it say no and say you want to speak to the retention team ordinary advisors can not do as much

Well,  called retentions again.  Lo and behold they drop the price to £125 and double my BB speed.  Why do we have to play these silly games?!?!

Because if you don't you don't get the extra discount...
