How do I get Sky to pay me my credit refund since closing my account?

I closed my broadband account with Sky around 7 months ago but I'm still waiting to receive the credit that was on my account of about £50. I raised this via a WhatsApp chat some months ago and was told it would be actioned but nothing has happened. How do I get my money repaid to my account?

@Stoor13   These are the current methods for contacting Sky. (Depending on your reason for making contact some methods will be more appropriate than others) …

🔶📞 Customer Services by dialling 150 (free) from either a Sky mobile or your Sky Talk landline.

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment phone contact is unlikely to work.

for most service issues and gives you 24/7 help and a quick response. It should provide you with multiple choice options based on your problem and will provide troubleshooting steps to fix any service issues.

Note If you’re in the ROI make sure the flag in the bottom right of the link is showing the correct flag and change if required.

Refunds should normally only take about six weeks from the last day of connection but posts on here suggest it's taking a bit longer.

 

We used to escalate this to Sky on here via their Community Messaging Team but unfortunately that process is currently unavallable and we don't know when it'll return.

 

You will therefore need to contact Sky and speak to an agent by other means; either by calling, or initially through Sky Assistant or via social media, Providing your payment method is still active they should then be able to refund it in 3-5 WORKING days.

I did try Sky Assist but it just took me round in circles. It seems incredibly difficult to get the refund. I don't use social media, can I not just telephone them?

Thank you. Unfortunately I don't have Sky mobile or a Sky landline so I guess I will try one of the other methods. I have just sent them a written complaint and hopefully that will prompt some action. Thanks anyway for your help.

Sky have 8 weeks to resolve a complaint so calling is by far the quickest way. 

The forum doesn’t allow the display of other numbers. Other official numbers to Sky from the UK are 03 numbers which are normally inclusive from non Sky phones.
