Haggle

had to phone sky and try to haggle with them today,im out of contract anyway, ive got the full package already at 82 pounds, which was automatically given to me because id been with them for around 25 years now,so i phoned them ,they said uve automatically got it cheaper because its more than that really,we have let you have that without having a new contract because youve been with us so long,so i said its still to expensive,so they put me through to another department,i was offered the full package at 75 pounds a month ,ive turned it down saying il phone you again in a couple of days time to see if i can get it cheaper,so the sky person said phone us after april the 4th ,there may be a better offer then.

You may have to actually cancel to get it cheaper...  (but doesn't always work)

...but be prepared to actually leave if you cannot agree a price.

Re: Haggle

yes you are right,i may have to do that, trouble is they put there prices up nearly every year, and there programes which they claim they pay alot of money for ,i dont think its worth what they charge now, and has i say ive been with them for around 25 years now, i never get my moneys woth for what i watch ,i have a smart tv ,i watch other film apps on there thats free and i think i also what more films on you tube for nothing than on sky.

Only you can decide whether it's good value...  There are many streaming options nowadays - including Sky's own (NowTV).

Personally I like the Q equipment but I'm not sure how longer I can justify it...

You can also get a FreeSat 4K box that utilises your existing dish (with recording) - no subscription but a one-off cost.

bills

im going to phone sky monday, they said phone after the 4th of april,to try and get the full package cheaper im paying over 80 pounds a month now for it,they already said uve already got it a bit cheaper than it is,i wont have broadvand with them so thats not even included i have my broadband with bt,im out of contract now been with sky for about 25 years now,i may have to chuck it in to try and get it alot cheaper that way,if they want me back again, its ridicoulous it goes up every year,so even if i get it a bit cheaper ,when it goes up again next year ,thats added on to it,i dont watch sky enough to justify paying this amount, its only really the football coverage i watch ,and the odd film, when you think about it theres far more on you tube to watch for free.

Hi @sweetheart4321   It sounds like Freesat and Now TV for football and cinema may be the way to go. I wish my Sky TV was only £80 ....

Re: Haggle

you did well peter ,getting it down that much,it might be because youve got a diferent package to me,see i have the full package an hd  box ,but you have glass tv has well ,sometimes they go by what uve got with them,on our much you can get it reduced for.
