Given quote that was not saved to account

I was provided a quote that I said I would consider. The assistant said she would mention it on my account and when I called back up to accept another assistant I spoke to said there was no reference of it and then went on to give me a quote that was £10 more each month! Hardly a deal for a long time sky customer but then again shouldn't really be surprised as trying to renew a sky contract has always been stressful. Any suggestions please?

Offers are generally only valid at the time they're made, and lapse as soon as you end the call, if you don't agree it there and then.

Cheers... Why she said she'd leave a note on my account then I don't know as if I'd known I'd taken her offer instead of calling up the next day and being quoted £10 more a month..thanks for your reply though
