Misold new contract

I Renegotiated new 2 year TV deal today. Broadband was still in contract to 2026, however to get a good TV price I was advised to re contract Broadband for two years at the same price. I agreed based on figures I was given. When I've looked at my billing information the Broadband discount I had on my previous deal still shows the old contract discount end date of 2026. In effect this means my BB price will rise by £12 in the middle of the new contract. I rang Sky straight back fully expecting then to extend the BB discount end date to the new contract end date. It's wasn't that simple. No call back received from original call handler and the new call handler wanted me to renegotiate another BB deal. Supervisor was in a meeting, aren't they always in meetings!

I've raised a complaint but just wanted to ask if anyone in the Community has come across this . I feel as if I've been mislead by Sky into taking a new BB deal. I either want the BB deal I agreed honoured for 24 months or to use cooling off period to cancel BB element so my contract ends 2026 so I can go elsewhere. I was told by the second call handler that they could not go back to the previous BB contract. advice required please.

All you can do is to speak to Sky again to see if the BB contract has been applied correctly.

This is why your billing hasn't updated as it does update straight away when a new offer has been applied more so if your next bill is due to be paid in the next 14 days or less as our bills are created 14 days prior to the payment date so any changes will be shown on the next bill but back dated to the day the new offer was applied.

Re: Misold new contract

All the other contract end dates for the Signature, mutiscreen and another £3 Broadband discount end date have been moved on to the new contract end date in 2027. I had two discounts on my BB for £3 & £12. The discount end date for the £12 remained as 2026 that's why I assumed Sky had made a mistake and it was just a matter of amended in this end date .

Re: Misold new contract

I recently upgraded to Sky Glass 2nd generation with broadband as I moved home and was told by the person on the other end of the line that I would have to start a "NEW "contract. I explained that I no longer wanted Sky Cinema and was told that it would be taken off. He then went through what my new bill would be, which I wrote down and i left the call very happy. But a week on i'm looking at my Sky only to see Sky Cinema is still there and I'm paying more than I was told and the reality of being lied to has become more apparent. Is this how Sky train their employees? to lie to the public? My previous contract with Sky Cinema wasn't going to run out until September 2026 and now i notice that according to My Sky is now contracted til 2027!!!  this is absolute [Removed]. They deliberately go out their way to confuse their customers. Im sure I'm not the only one who thinks this.

Re: Misold new contract

At the moment yes, I called this morning first thing and actually got through. The helpful operative the proceeded to make it so's Sky Cinema would be taken off by September 7th. I was then put through to a UK operative as I wanted to send back the TV wall bracket, no problem to begin with, again the helpful lady talked me through what I needed to do, I was beginning to feel really good abouts myself as I thought I'd killed two birds with one stone. Sky called me back and told me because I was paying with 0% finance for the wall bracket that they'd have to cancel my cancellation of Sky Cinema for this to happen. I've now to wait until they have the bracket before I can cancel Sky Cinema  "AGAIN" . You can't make it up 🙄
