From virgin to sky

Has anyone moved over to sky from virgin while still having a few months left on your contract with virgin and have sky paid off the remaining balance to virgin

Sky would only pay up to £100 for broadband and up to £100 for TV. Please read below about Sky switching credit

Just to be clear no one has had Sky pay off any remaining balance to Virgin.

As per the link, you have to pay any early termination charges to Virgin and then claim a credit on your Sky account.
