Free trial/2 month contract

Hi. Had a call from sky and ended up with sports for 2 months free. The guy said I would be contacted and could then opt in or out. My sky shows offer ending 7th Dec which is one month so I think I need to be giving notice to cancel. What are anyone's thoughts?

I agree. It's unlikely that Sky will contact you.

I would think it is unlikely that they would contact you so you would need to cancel them by giving them the required 31 days notice.  So you can either call or use the messaging service to do this.

Completed a cancel form and got a priority customer number to ring. Rang and spoke to a very helpful person who confirm 2 months free and sorted it to end after that so all good now.

Re: Free trial/2 month contract

It is the sky loss leading con.

2 months free but do not forget to call to cancel ptherwise you will be lumbered with another month to pay for at full price. I have spoken to sky myself and you cannot get them to put the cancellation instruction In more than 24 days before you want it cancelled.

Mine was even activated without my knowledge by the sky installation engineer. I was told oh you have sports and movies free for 2 months.

It was only when I questioned sky themselves In the hour long customer services call that I was told you have to opt out after the first month
