Do sky call you out the blue to see if they can find you cheaper deal? Also do sky call from 0800 number? Any help will be gratefully accepted

Yes. I get legitimate Sky customer service calls quite regularly from an 0800 number. They are keen to keep customers so will often call to try and get you to sign up to another 2 year contract. Be careful what you agree to though - make sure you are happy with whatever they offer you and clarify how long any deal is for and how many price increases will occur over the contracted period.

...and so do scammers (usually offering 30/40% off your bills).
Personally, if you want to negotiate your deal then call Sky on their official numbers. (Or use the chat service)

Re: Fone calls
From Skys own website

Of course any number can be spoofed.
With any unexpected calls from Sky if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll be a scam call.
