End of contract

My sky contract ends 31st off January 2025 and am going to cancel. Would it be the 31st December 2024 I call to tell them I want to cancel

@Yid1234 You have to do it exactly 31 days as the notice period starts the day you give it

by my calculations if you gave it 31/12/24 it will end 30/01/25 the day before your end date making you liable for one day of early termination charges

best to give it 1st January

note billing continues as normal during the notice period and any bills generated must be paid in full with any overpayment for days beyond termination date refunded on what would have been the next available bill date

@Yid1234

And be aware that on 1 January there will perhaps be fewer staff available to take your call & process your cancellation.

Re: End of contract

@Yid1234 You have to  give a minimum of 31 days notice, so you can give it at any time you like as long as you do not ask for your contract to be finished prior to the contract expiry date. I gave notice athat I was cancelling on the expiry date 6 weeks prior to the expiry date as I was out of the country 31 days before the expiry date  and everything went through with no problems.
