I have had sky for about 30 years.
i currently have
sky q with all packages including, Netflix, UHD, Sports and even TNT
Sky Broadband 900
Sky mobile.
unable to negotiate a decent price for TV (best offer was 30% more than I pay now) I phoned up to cancel.
i upgraded from sky+ to sky Q in November but on my sky my contract ends 27/03/24.
whilst processing my cancellation the agent said that my multiscreen was on an 18 month contract from when my Sky Q started (November 2023) and I would have to pay early termination charges. I previously had multiroom and assume that as non of my other products had changed their end date then neither would have multiroom / multiscreen.
The sky t&c say that when upgrading from sky+ to sky Q
I previously for example didn't have signature but it's equivalent.
I don't believe that they should be trying to charge me early termination since I wasn't given a new contract for any of my other new Sky q products nor does it show on my sky that multiroom doesn't expire with the rest of my products

Well sky accept that is the date my contracts end for everything except multiroom for which they want early termination fees.

Sky chat says if there is no date then the service is out of contract

That is what I have been doing. Bizarrely I now have to wait until Thursday having spoken to someone on Friday as I can only spoke to a manager who is now off duty until then, what is going on with Sky?

Rather than wait until Thursday that seemed bizarre spoke to someone today. He did his best to get a good price but still significant increase so cancellation processed. Assured that there will be no extra charge to cancel sky multiscreen at the same time as everything else.

Customer service from Sky has been going gradually downhill since Comcast took over. I've seen your later message, glad you got it sorted. My Sky completely switches off in a few weeks and I can't wait to be free of them. Negotiating with Sky now consists of them trying to scare people into taking poor deals. I also think too many threaten to cancel now, who have no real intention to go through with this, to get a better deal and Sky know this hence the poor offers for everyone.
