Disgusting

As a " valued DIamond VIP" (allegedly), I find it reprehensible, insincere and plainly just wrong, that new customers get better deals that loyal ones. On what planet is this the right thing to do. No reward for loyalty. The whole thing stinks of "don't care" and just hoping we won't notice. This is wrong but is a good way to alienate loyal customers and make them go elsewhere. Well done sky. Good job

@DiamondVIP  I presume you thought it was ok to get your new customer deals when you signed up to Sky originally?  So why shouldn't other new customers take advantage of them?

 

All companies do this, if you go elsewhere and get your new deal for 18/24 months you'll start to again pay  the full listed price wth them also.

 

 

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@DiamondVIP  You will find all providers incentivise new customer offers over existing customers 

 

you would have benefited from such offer when you signed up so shouldn't be an entitlement to another 

 

vip means nothing when it comes to prices it never has 

 

if you were to sign up with a new provider you would be in the same position when your minimum term comes to an end

Hi @DiamondVIP   If you are a diamond VIP then you should know by now that loyalty means nothing. The loyalty tax applies to all communication companies and especially insurance firms. The only answer is to change firms every year. Note VIP is just a marketing tool, when everyone is a VIP then none of us are VIPs.

Thanks for the replies guys. You're so right. VIP does mean nothing. It's just a way of trying to make you think you're valued when you're really not. Suck you in, flatter you a bit, that's all. Martin Lewis was looking into this a while ago, stating it should be illegal. Just because all companies do it doesn't make it right or ethical. It's not even that Sky have the best prices. Good luck

I'm not sure 'disgusting' is the best description.  But if you're not happy with the price, just give notice to leave (or don't renew) - no drama...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Phone sky and ask to speak to the retention team as I did and I got a  big discount  on a 24 contract top line package  on sky glass tv  and  whole  home. I  am saving  over £50 a month for everything  and I  have  been with sky for 18 years and I am a diamond v I p member
