And when their discounted new customer deals expire in 18 or 24 months they'll be back in the same position.

- I'm considering doing this. I've noticed my future bills going up. I've spoken to someone at Sky and was told it was due to inflation.

Re: Deals for existing customers
The best way I have found to get a good deal with sky is when you are out of contract or near the end of your contract.
phone them up and go straight through to the cancellation department to cancel the whole thing.
tell them you can't afford sky as it is a ridiculous price and that you have been offered a great deal by Virgin or any other provider.
Don't be frustrated if they don't offer you a great deal straight away, just say is that all you can offer me.
i have always received a great offer within the last 2 weeks of the notice period.
im talking half price packages, free hd and uhd, half price Netflix premium, discount for extra boxes and extra discounts on the whole bill.
remember that you can walk away from the service and get it set up as a new customer if you really had to
***THEY NEED YOU***
***MORE THAN***
***YOU NEED THEM***

Not entirely correct. You would need to have been away from Sky for 18 months before you're classed as a new customer.

Yeah also happens when inflation goes down too, that's when they show their true colours and prove it's about profits not customers

Spoken like a sky employee, you can however cancel your package and then have your other half take one out at the same address as the "new customer" because they have not the customer.

Well of course it is. Companies are in business to make a profit.

Not entirely true either. Sky have wised up to that sort of game.

Re: Deals for existing customers
Not sure how it's possible to wise up to someone that has not been a registered customer of their product or service. I've been with sky since 2011 my partner has never been a customer, ergo new.

Re: Deals for existing customers
@Anonymous That tactic used to be used by some to continually take advantage of new customer deals, Sky have put procedures in place to stop that happening.
You may find that if your partner does try to sign up they are not eligible for the new customer prices.

@Anonymous
And posting your wish to try to circumvent Skys policies on Skys own Community is not a good idea.
