Credit refund

Hi everyone 

 

I recently cancelled my direct debit with sky and had a refund of£33 which was a payment that was returned. 

It says that it was returned on 08/09/2025 but it hasn't been received back in my bank. 

Can anyone tell me if it's because I cancelled my direct debit and what I Have to do to get it sorted ?

When did you cancel the direct debit? If you cancelled it too soon you'll need to contact Sky to discuss this,

Hi

 

i cancelled it on the 06/09/25 as I had made a manual payment to pay the final amount on my bill. 

the direct debit still took a couple days later which was expected but it says on sky that it was returned on the 08/09/25 but still haven't got the amount back

If the direct debit took place on the 08/09 and you cancelled your direct debit on the same date then it might be that by cancelling the refund can not be issued and that they are sending you a cheque instead which can take weeks to arrive. It might be worth asking Sky support about this.
