Charge applied but equipment returned

I returned my sky hub in the supplied packaging using the supplied label. It was picked up by royal mail at the door.

I have received a text stating that a charge is being applied to my account for non-return.

Does Sky not actually check the item tracking prior to applying a charge?

I have no proof of posting as the postman literally took it from me and to his van. But as Sky supplied the returns packaging, then they must have the tracking details anyway.

This was in September this year.

To say I'm a bit peeved is an understatement.

I have absolutely no requirement or need for a sky router, in the main it was why I cancelled Sky broadband as the signal was terrible.

Wow, I managed to find the email for pickup and the tracking number.

Surprise, it was delivered...

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@kar0shi

As you have the tracking details then you will either have to call tjem or use one of the social media links to get in touch with them about this.

@kar0shi So you are aware, your posting with the tracking details was pulled, you are NOT allowed to post up tracking details to the Public Forum!

Re: Charge applied but equipment returned

Seems odd, no address details on there, just the actual tracking number.

You can't do a great deal with that without the postcode.

But I was hoping someone may pass it in to one of the Sky team to get in touch like I've seen on other posts.

It is a PITA to have to queue to speak to Sky when I've done my bit and they haven't even bothered to check.

Maximum profit, minimum care. And don't get me started on the F1 coverage. If there was comparable F1 coverage elsewhere, I'd dump Sky in a heartbeat.

Moving from Sky Q, where I could watch F1 in Sky go the morning after a night race on my tablet in my bed.... Awesome.

Swapped to Stream..... Wow. The future, well almost, just a backwards step.
