Card payment

I have been paying my sky manually via the app for years and now all of a sudden sky are trying to take a payment every month automatically. I am up to date with my payment and don't owe a penny and So far I haven't had the funds and it has declined but there will be a day whe the funds will be there and I will have paid twice. Why is this suddenly happening?

It could be because is a requirements of the terms and conditions that you must have a monthly payment set up so that (as the case here) the payment can be taken automatically from you each month meaning no manual payments would need to be made. As they are now taking the payment from your card then it might be that going forward you no longer need to make these payments yourself.
